With the warm weather finally starting to make its way in to stay, I am beginning to finally get myself in gear and get motivated for the summer show season that is just over the horizon. Something about having the sun around a little longer each day can have such an impact on motivation and I finally feel like it is time to break out the soap and water, wash off the winter grime and breath new life into the cars that go neglected for way too long.

To start off this year I decided to go small and change up some little details, beginning with the wheels. Out are the large full heigh hex nuts that have accompanied the wheels for the past 17 years, and in are some brand new flat caps courtesy of Kevin at EuroImage Tuning. It is amazing how something so small can transform the way these wheels look. Hopefully with the addition of some new lips and bolts and they will really pull together.

Next on the list are a few more goodies from the design guru’s at Votex GmbH that should finally pull the exterior of the car together, as well as some new notes courtesy of Kurtis as Mandrel Bending Solutions.

The Beetle: An Update

Some times when the weather breaks you just need to get out and shoot. The same holds true for my car, I just need to get out and drive it when I can. So I took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone and take some pictures of my car. I recently upgraded the front suspension so a few little tweaks over the next couple months and I should have everything sitting proper and level with a good amount of stance. I also plan to redo the air ride system with a few other tricks which will make life a lot easier on myself and should make long drives a breeze.
